On Saturday the 25th of June, with the weather cold and clear, the Climb-it Club and Team Rock end of term outdoor trip headed out to the Staughton Vale cliff face. This is one of the best climbing areas around the Geelong region and with a small, but psyched young crew, we were in for a great day. We started the day with some basic safety procedures as many of the days participants had not been outside before. We headed off to the cliff and everyone, parents included got to help with some rope carrying and also assisting with some of the set ups. We then headed down to the base, just as the sun hit the cliff, to get on and climb.
The day was a great success, after such a dismal weather week, it was great to get a clear, sunny day to get everyone out on the Rocks. All the kids are already looking forward too the next one.
Climb-it Club and Team Rock starts back on the first week of term 3, check out details Here for more info.
